I have been a part of the Grant community since infancy, attending with my parents and older brother.
My personal relationship with Jesus began with a decision to follow Jesus as a 6-year-old. I still remember the moment to this day. It was Easter Sunday, before church, and I asked my brother to help lead me in prayer as we were sitting at our kitchen table, waiting for our parents to finish getting ready for church. Throughout my years at Grant, I have served in the nursery, led a small group with our youth (aka R.O.C.K. Group) and in our worship ministry, where I continue to serve to this day. Along with serving within our church family, I have had several opportunities to
serve in missions both locally and internationally. I was a camp counsellor with Living Bible Explorers in our inner city; I went to Brazil as a 15-year-old with Grant Youth and attended a Discipleship Training School with YWAM New Zealand in 2008. These experiences were transformative in my life. God used the challenges
that come with being confronted by the physical and spiritual poverty of others to demonstrate the power of the Gospel, which transcends any earthly limitations to
transform anyone, anywhere.
Another thing that occupies my time, aside from being active in our church, is my career as a nurse. I currently work at CancerCare Manitoba, but have worked in various areas in healthcare for the past 15 years. I also enjoy travelling and spending time outdoors, biking and cross-country skiing.
I am so grateful for what God has done in my life through this Church community, and I am excited to continue to participate in what God is doing through this body of believers.
