Workshops

From Attendance to Engagement: Engaging Authentically in Worship

Cassandra Gingerich

Worshipping is more than just showing up—it’s responding to who God is and what He’s done. In the midst of a Sunday service, it’s easy to wonder: "How can I engage more fully? Why do we worship the way we do?" This workshop defines the biblical heart and purpose of worship. We'll unpack what it means to participate sincerely during gathered services, by cultivating a heart posture that fosters genuine connection with God and fellow believers. Come ready to reflect and ask questions.

Is Long-Term Missions for Me? Discover the Journey

Daniel and Laura Enns

Are you feeling called to missions but unsure what that looks like? Daniel and Laura will share their experience of discerning their calling, preparing to go, and navigating cross-cultural challenges. Whether you’re just beginning to explore missions or actively pursuing next steps get your questions answered as we hear God's heart for all nations.

Caring for Ageing Parents: A Journey of Compassion and Preparation

Sean Sagert

Caring for ageing parents has both emotional and practical challenges—but you don’t have to navigate them alone! Topics in this session will include honouring parents biblically, fostering grace-filled communication, navigating stressful care decisions, setting healthy boundaries, and planning for future needs. Whether you're currently caring for a parent or preparing for what’s ahead, this session offers guidance and encouragement.

Find Your Place

Steve Bock & Dina Moniz

If you are looking to volunteer at Grant this year—whether you're new, a long-time member, or seeking a new role—this is for you! Get a clear overview of all volunteer opportunities available and learn how to get involved. We'll outline the process from interest to application and onward. Explore the variety of roles where your unique gifts and talents can contribute to our church's mission. Featuring a special video presentation from our ministry leaders, you'll gain insight into the impact of serving in each area and will prayerfully consider where the Lord is leading you in this upcoming season.

Disagreeing Well: Faithful Conversations in Church and Home

Jeff McNeil

Conflict is inevitable–division is not. Whether in church ministry or gathered around the dinner table, disagreements either fracture or strengthen relationships. Learn biblical principles and practices to humbly listen well and lovingly speak the truth with grace. Transform challenging conversations into opportunities for spiritual growth by being rooted in unity when faced with differing opinions–doing so provides a positive way forward.

Leadership & Influence

Chopper Wilson

Join us for an engaging look at what makes leaders truly effective, drawing from both timeless biblical wisdom and proven contemporary research. We'll explore practical ways to build trust, communicate with clarity, and be a positive influence in whatever role you find yourself–from parenting to ministry, and workplace teams to volunteer opportunities. We will gain practical tools to enhance your leadership effectiveness while staying grounded in the model of Christ.

Intentional Neighbouring: Sharing Christ's Love in our City

Cher Paulson

In a world that often feels disconnected, the biblical call to "love your neighbour as yourself" remains a powerful command. We must move beyond passive coexistence to discover practical ways to build meaningful relationships, show Christ's love through tangible actions, listen with compassion, and be a light in our neighbourhoods. Learn how to identify opportunities, overcome barriers, and cultivate a heart for those living nearby. Transform your ordinary interactions into opportunities for faithful witness and service, reflecting God's heart for your community.
