In the presence of family, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, Jake Dyck, left in the early hours of September 8, 2025, to be with his Lord and Saviour and his beloved wife Tina.
Jake was born in Winkler to Jacob and Bertha Dyck and was the last surviving member of eight children. At the age of 1,5, Jake accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour. Jake began his education in a two-room schoolhouse in Burwalde. He then completed four years of Bible School in Winkler, and after that, he earned his BA and BEd, receiving his teaching certificate. Jake taught for 31 years, finishing at Garden City Collegiate as vice-principal and principal for over 23 years. Jake’s passion was teaching.
He married the love of his life, Tina Fehr, in 1950, and they had three daughters, Corinne, Colleen, and Jacquie. Jake and Tina retired to Kelowna and, after 15 years, moved back to Winnipeg. He loved travelling, fishing, golfing, riding his Honda Goldwing and was active in his church, Grant Memorial.
He left behind a legacy of love for his Lord and Saviour, his family and his church.
