Hi, I’m Lisa Wilson. My husband Chopper and I have been married for 36 years, and we’re incredibly blessed with four daughters, three son-in-laws and four amazing grandkids. I spent my early years in Indonesia, where my parents served as missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship. Living overseas for 10 years gave me a deep love for missions and a lifelong appreciation for other cultures.
Early in our marriage, Chopper and I felt a clear call to full-time ministry. That calling led us to serve for 10 years in a camp ministry in Northwest Ontario, where we also had the joy of being foster parents to several incredible kids. Eventually, God brought us to Grant Church, where we have been part of the community for the past 18 years.
Grant has truly been a gift to our family—offering support, teaching, prayer, and love in ways that have reflected the heart of the New Testament church. I have a special passion for young families, and it’s been a joy to serve in the nursery for many years. After COVID, Chopper and I hosted a small group for young families to help reconnect and rebuild community within the church. I have also enjoyed in the past leading Bible studies and spiritually encouraging book clubs. Chopper and I had the incredible privilege of leading mission teams to Africa, Guatemala, and India—experiences that have shaped our faith and broadened our perspective.
I love encouraging others, creating community, and supporting families, and I desire to use those passions to serve at Grant.
I’m excited about what God is doing at Grant and look forward to being part of His ongoing work in and through our church.
