My name is Ian Wood. My wife Jody and I have been married for 22 years, and we have two children, Grace
and Owen. I work as a financial planner, focusing on helping individuals and families steward their resources
effectively, including charitable and philanthropic planning.
I have been attending Grant Church since 2003. I came to faith in Christ as a child and was raised in a church
community in Morden, Manitoba. Over the years, my faith has remained a steady foundation, shaping how I
approach decisions, responsibilities, and serving others. More recently, I’ve been involved in Grant’s tech ministry, helping with livestream audio.
Outside the church, I’ve had the opportunity to serve on several ministry and charitable boards, primarily in
governance and financial roles. These have included Lögberg-Heimskringla, the Lung Association of
Manitoba, the Learning Disabilities Association of Manitoba, and Ambassadors for Christ Canada.
I tend to serve in practical ways — helping ensure things are well-organized, accountable, and running smoothly. If given the opportunity to serve on the church board, I would bring that same steady, thoughtful approach to support the church’s mission and leadership.
