I was born and raised in Manitoba in a Christian family. I grew up attending a Salvation Army church in Winnipeg, and after high school, I attended the Catherine Booth Bible College, where I met my wife, Shannon. After getting a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Winnipeg, I started my career with the
Correctional Service of Canada in 1998 and have been a public servant for over 25 years. I am currently the Area Director, providing oversight to the Correctional Service of Canada’s engagement in the city of Winnipeg.
Shannon and I have been married for over 30 years, and we have four children. Dominic, the youngest, attends Grant with us currently and is involved in
youth programs. He has just begun serving in the Kids Ministry. While attending several churches growing up, I have been involved in serving, worship and teaching ministries within the local church setting, including pulpit supply. Shannon was on staff at Grant with the Children’s Ministry for approximately seven years before COVID. After briefly attending a different church to worship with our adult children, Shannon and I returned to Grant because of the solid biblical teaching week after week. Since that time, we have experienced the love of Christ through God’s people at Grant and look forward to serving together for years to come.
I love good coffee, reading, working in my garden, and losing to my adult boys in NFL Fantasy Football.
